armour

dont expose the skin

to heat or cold

sun or stars

water or razors

let it just wrap up in itself

find itself

layers meeting layers

and inside of each flake

like filo dough

gather together

cold pisces flesh

simple as a snowflake

repeated

over

over

and over

again —

cocoon the skin

til it finds its way

into the sun

a tiny piece at a time

like the breath of julius caesar

still creates empires

my breath

is a place

of love
