mothering is love by any means necessary

I’ve never thought about it like this, but mama is a beautiful word. My mom always called her mom that. I always thought of it as an old southern term. In German the word for mother is “mutter”, pronounced “moo-tr”. In Latin it is matris. In French it is mère. In Italian it is madre. In Dutch it is moeder. In Portuguese it is mãe. There is something near universal with the “MA” sound being tied to motherhood, and that’s well….beautiful.
